untrappable

Terms of use

Editorially reviewed · Last updated August 19, 2026

These terms apply when you use untrappable.com. The site is an independent informational project operated by John Kueh. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

What this site is

untrappable publishes scam-awareness guides, a browser-based checker, and recovery pointers to official agencies. Features and pages may change as the record of active scams changes.

The site is not a bank, law firm, licensed advisor, emergency service, or government agency. It is not affiliated with the brands scammers impersonate, or with the FTC, FBI, CFPB, or any other public body.

No professional advice, and no recovery promise

Pages here are general information. They are not legal, financial, tax, medical, or emergency advice, and they are not a decision about your specific case.

I do not promise that you will recover money, reverse a payment, restore an account, or avoid further harm. Official channels can be worth using quickly; outcomes still depend on how you paid, what you shared, and what those institutions can do.

The checker is a second opinion against documented patterns. A match is not a court finding. A clean result is not proof that a message is safe.

Your use of the site

Use the site lawfully. Do not:

  • Break the law or violate someone else's rights
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security controls
  • Misrepresent the site, scrape it in a way that harms availability, or republish pages as if they were official government guidance
  • Send malware, or use contact channels to abuse or impersonate people

I may block access when reasonably necessary to protect the site or other people.

Third-party sites and affiliate links

Guides link out to official agencies, banks, and other organisations so you can act in the right place. Those sites have their own terms. I am not responsible for their content, outages, or decisions.

Some product links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never buys a verdict. Where a page uses affiliate links, it says so. See how we test.

Availability

I aim to keep untrappable accurate and available, but the site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Scam tactics change. A page can be incomplete or become outdated. Check official sources before you act on money, identity, or safety.

Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, John Kueh and untrappable.com are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost money, data, or opportunities, arising from use of the site or reliance on its pages.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Ending use

You may stop using the site at any time. I may suspend or stop publishing pages, or block access, if these terms are materially breached, if the site creates risk for other people, or if I discontinue the project. Sections that logically continue — including the disclaimers and liability limits — survive.

Changes

I may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page will change when I do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
